Are You Happy?
We have been living our lives in the best possible way. From hardships to peace, we all want to get out of the chaos of life and achieve enough success to survive in this society.
But in this race of achieving success at every point, and satisfying the world by meeting its expectations, we never ask about ourselves.
We are so caught up in this race that we almost forget we are human. We need to relax, we need peace. We don’t notice while chasing those endless roads what we have become. We don’t notice the person we left behind, the person that was not supposed to be left. To keep the outside world happy, we killed that person, not killed, but murdered.
What do you think? Have you achieved a lot? Yes, indeed, you did. You are a millionaire, you are well enough to buy your dream car, your dream home. You achieved that PhD degree in your field of interest. You even got a professor at your dream university. Yes, these are achievements.
You have become successful.
CONGRATULATIONS.
But have you ever asked yourself: “ARE YOU HAPPY?”
What was your answer, yes or no?
What have you truly achieved from all that? Peace?
Are you still the same peaceful, calm, and happy person you once were before this journey?
If the answer to all those questions is NO, then I’m sorry to give you this news: you have already lost the battle of being human to yourself. You might be an ideal person to the outside world, but you killed that version of you who needed you the most.
“The journey changes you, and the destination you thought you wanted at the start is perhaps not the place you need or want at the end.”–Maria Hatzistefanis
We have changed so much in this journey of becoming “successful” just to be accepted by the world.
But things can still get back on track. You can still do everything you need, yet more peacefully and happily.
In this blog, we will summarise what Maria Hatzistefanis has taught us from her lifelong learning in her book How to Live Your Best Life.
For those who don’t know who Maria is:
She is a London-based beauty entrepreneur who founded her skincare group Rodial in 1999 by identifying a niche for treatments targeted at specific skin concerns. Today, she runs two successful brands: Rodial and NIP+FAB, with products selling through 20,000+ stores across 35 countries worldwide.
According to her:
“Life never ends-it’s a long, endless road, so you need to know how to enjoy the ride.”
If you really want to transform your life at this very stage of being “successful,” this blog post series is for you. I’ll take you through each chapter of the book in a simple, easy, and effective way, so you don’t need to buy the book or search for it in stores.
📖 At the end of this series, I’ll also provide a PDF summary of the book for you.
So stay tuned, and let’s take a step toward change.
✨ Cheers
